I was fooling around pinnacles website when I found, under Soccer Futures, Arsenal to win the Premiership at -140.
Arsenal won last years Premiership without losing one single game and have actually made themselves better with the addition of JA Reyes Calderon from Spain while they didnt suffer any significant losses to that same squad that won last year.
So far this year, they have played 4 games, won all four scoring an average of like 4 goals a game. They sit atop the league with Chelsea at their heels, in second because of goal differential. In fact, Chelsea is the only team that can give Arsenal a run for their money but I have a hard time believing they can win the whole thing, for several reasons, primarily the fact that once again they are not a team but a collection of stars compiled by Russian millionaire Abramovich.
I believe Manchester United is sporting the worst team they have had in the past 5 years and are still dealing with several key injuries to their team. This has really shown in their first 4 games and they are already beginning to fall behind.
Liverpool, the other team with some sort of a shot at the title will really suffer the loss of Michael Owen and WILL NOT go anywhere this season.
Arsenal, with Henry, Reyes and Bergkamp, Pires, Ljunberg, Vieira, Lehmann and others should reign supreme this year in England.
Why the line is only -140 is very very, beyond me.
